Introduction

Hi!  My name is Rosa Meza.  Currently, I teach 2nd grade in California.  I have taught elementary students for almost 16 years.  Time does fly quickly!  I still remember my first day as a 1st grade teacher in the summer of 1995 to thirty energetic little bodies.  On that first day of teaching, I thought about quitting and every day for that entire school year I wanted to but thank God I did not!  Needless to say, today I enjoy teaching and look forward to 22 energetic little persons who teach me more than they know!  I hope to continue teaching elementary students until I retired.

  1. Hello, I can really relate to your story! Thanks for sharing. I'll never forget my first day of teaching...I walked into a classroom of 37 children in which only 3 spoke English as their primary language. It was Kindergarten and many of the students were crying and frightened. All I could do was think, "What have I gotten myself into?" I worked very hard that first year...and collapsed every day when I got home. But it got easier. And, I am happy to say, I am still teaching and loving it! Best of luck to you!
